ACIIDS-2009 is an international scientific conference for research in the field of intelligent information and database systems. The conference proceedings will be published by IEEE Computer Society Press (indexed by EI, IEE INSPEC, Thomson ISI). The aim of the conference is to provide an internationally respected forum for scientific research in the technologies and applications of intelligent information and database systems. This conference will provide an excellent opportunity for researchers to discuss modern approaches and techniques for agent and multi-agent systems and their applications. ACIIDS-2009 is co-organized by Quang Binh University and Institute of Information Science and Engineering, Wroclaw University of Technology, and will take place in Dong Hoi city. This city is the capital city of Quang Binh Province, in the north central coast of Vietnam. It is located at around 500 km (310 mi) south of Ha Noi capital, and 260 km (160 mi) north of Da Nang. It is on the National Road 1A, North-South Railway and Ho Chi Minh Highway, it is easily accessed by train and bus from international airport. Nhat Le River is the only river that runs through the city. Tro Lake is the source of fresh water for the city-dwellers.

The Nhat Le Beach is endowed with fine and white sand. Specially, it is 50 km from the south of the karst formation of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park has evolved since the Palaeozoic (some 400 million years ago) and so is the oldest major karst area in Asia. Quang Binh University is located central Dong Hoi City. It was over the past 50 years of development, the University has now become a prestigious centre of training teachers, fostering the staff for many sectors and conducting scientific research projects in the northern central part of Vietnam.
